Willow & WEAVING
“Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind.”
When my attention was drawn by the world of the beaver, it was only natural to take note of the wonder of willow as they are in intimate connection. Curiosity led the way and soon I was taken with the longstanding tradition of working with willow as a renewable resource. I begun to develop my own connection to the wild willows growing in our local landscapes, observing, touching, noticing what I can and learning to work with their varied properties.
